ONE PIECE: FRAGMENT EXTRACTION SYSTEM

Chapter 11: CHAPTER 11

Sizzle— Electricity crackled from Leone's arm, dancing like an electric snake before spreading rapidly across his entire body.

"Discharge!"

At his command, a surge of lightning shot forth, striking a nearby tree with the force of a thunderclap. The tree split in two instantly, its charred remains engulfed in flames.

"Power up!"

Leone pushed his abilities further, amplifying the electricity coursing through his body. The intensity of the lightning grew stronger, sparking wildly in the air. Then, with a single motion, he pointed skyward, releasing all of his accumulated energy in a blinding storm of electricity that engulfed the jungle ahead.

Boom!

A deafening explosion followed. When the dust settled, a large circular area of land lay barren, devoid of vegetation, the ground scorched black.

"As expected of One Piece… Robin mentioned before how Logia Devil Fruits are almost invincible. The power is truly overwhelming!" Leone marveled.

He had only just begun tapping into the Thunder Fruit's abilities, yet the destruction he could unleash was already terrifying. With the power of nature itself at his command, it was no wonder Logia fruits were considered the strongest of the three types.

"If it were a Paramecia user like Luffy or a weaker Zoan-type, they would need years of training and immense hardship to reach this level."

Logia was in a league of its own.

"With this fruit, Enel was definitely qualified to call himself a god."

Leone couldn't deny it—wielding the same power as Enel, he was beginning to understand the Skypiean's mindset. This ability, the capacity to erase enemies with a mere flick of his fingers, made one feel beyond human.

"How could I wield such a supreme power and not develop it to its full potential?"

"Again! Discharge… to maximum power!"

With relentless determination, Leone continued his training. Unlike others, he didn't need to worry about exhaustion. His stamina recovery ensured he could keep pushing himself without limitations.

Ten days later.

"Wow! Old Casca, this ship is too Haki!"

Standing on the dock, Leone gazed at the large vessel anchored before him. The ship was massive—bigger than Luffy's Thousand Sunny, though not quite on the scale of a Marine warship. Reinforced with steel plating, it was built to withstand even the fiercest of storms.

For a million Berries, this was more than worth it.

"Leo, you don't know how to sail, and it's too late to learn now," Old Casca cautioned. "When you set out, make sure to find a navigator. Someone who can read the currents and guide you properly—you don't want to be stranded in the Calm Belt, do you?"

Leone felt a wave of gratitude. "Thank you, Old Casca."

"Bah! Just remember to make a name for yourself. When you're a big-time pirate, I'll have the best story to brag about! Hahaha!"

With a hearty laugh, the old shipwright took a swig of rum and strolled away, humming a sea shanty.

Leone turned back to his ship, a sense of exhilaration flooding through him. He had a pirate ship now. He could finally set sail. His journey to etch his name into history had begun.

"From now on, I am Shinigami Leone! The Shinigami Pirates will soon be known across the Grand Line! Among the countless pirates seeking the ultimate treasure, a Shinigami will rise—one capable of standing alongside the Four Emperors and even the Admirals!"

His ambition soared as he hoisted a newly painted Jolly Roger—a skull cloaked in shadows, its crossed bones replaced by two fearsome scythes, their blades marked with crimson streaks.

"From this day forth, my ship shall be known as Shinigami!"

"And today, I declare—the Shinigami Pirates are born!"

With the wind billowing the flag high, Leone stood at the bow, his voice ringing out over the sea, signaling the dawn of a new pirate crew that would shake the world.

Knowing that Leone was about to set sail, nearly the entire Windmill Village gathered to see him off.

"Leo, if you see Luffy, don't forget to say hello to him for me!"

It was Makino who called out, smiling warmly. She clearly missed Luffy as well.

"No problem!" Leone pounded his chest and grinned.

"Leo, when you're out at sea, make sure to take down all those despicable pirates and be a great, honorable one yourself! I believe in you!"

"I'll be looking for your bounty in the newspapers, so don't let us down!"

"Don't forget the skills you've learned—they'll be invaluable on the seas!"

The people of Windmill Village offered their parting words, filling Leone's heart with warmth.

Back on Earth, no one had ever cared about his life or death. He had always been alone, and no one would have noticed if he had disappeared.

But here, in Windmill Village, he finally felt the warmth of home.

"Don't worry! I won't let you down! Goodbye, everyone!"

With that, Leone unfurled the sails of his ship, the Shinigami, and watched as the familiar sight of Windmill Village slowly faded into the horizon.

The sea breeze carried the scent of salt, and the gentle sunlight bathed the deck. Lying back, Leone felt an overwhelming sense of comfort.

But he knew that sailing wasn't always so peaceful.

The ocean could be merciless. A violent storm could overturn his ship in an instant, leaving him helpless. And as a Devil Fruit user, he was even more vulnerable—falling into the sea meant certain death.

That was the greatest weakness of Devil Fruit powers. No matter how strong they were, the sea remained their greatest enemy.

"Hm?"

As Leone rested, his ears twitched. A disturbance in the water caught his attention.

Something was moving beneath the ship—fast.

A massive shadow surfaced quietly beneath him.

Sea Kings.

The rulers of the deep. The greatest nightmare of any sailor.

"ROOAARR!!"

The sea erupted as an enormous creature broke through the surface. Bloodthirsty eyes locked onto Leone, letting out a deafening roar.

This Sea King resembled a prehistoric beast—like a dinosaur fused with a deep-sea predator. It lacked arms, instead sporting massive gills, and towered over Leone, its colossal form blocking out the sun.

"A Sea King, huh?" Leone smirked. "It looks like the sea has blessed me with a welcome gift! It'd be rude not to accept it!"

A sharp glint flashed in his eyes.

Swish!

In an instant, Leone disappeared.

A second later, he reappeared—standing atop the Sea King's head.

Szzzt—

Electricity crackled around his body. Sparks danced across his skin, his eyes flashing with arcs of light.

"Three million volts… Discharge!"

Leone's entire body erupted with blinding energy. A concentrated bolt of lightning, as thick as an arm, surged from his palm—

BOOM!

A thunderous explosion shattered the air, sending shockwaves rippling across the sea.

The electricity surged through the Sea King's massive body, its flesh instantly charred. It let out an ear-piercing shriek before collapsing, lifeless, into the ocean.

Swish.

Leone teleported back onto the deck, watching the smoldering corpse sink below the waves.

"Heh… Goro Goro no Mi is amazing! Haha!"
