Chapter 126: The Marines Are Confused, Roger’s True Goal

"Still no intelligence at all?"

Inside the office of Fleet Admiral Kong, several high-ranking Marine officials were gathered. Kong scanned the room before directing his question at Sengoku.

Sengoku, his expression serious, shook his head and replied, "No. The Roger Pirates have vanished without a trace. There's no information at all—not from our sources, not even from Cipher Pol. I've heard that even CP0 was deployed, yet they still found nothing."

Ordinary Cipher Pol divisions were under the jurisdiction of the Five Elders, meaning they occasionally cooperated with the Marines. However, CP0 was directly controlled by the Celestial Dragons, and even Marine Admirals had no authority over them. The relationship between the Marines and CP0 was tense at best.

Kong clenched his fists, his face filled with frustration as he growled, "Damn that Roger! Where the hell is he hiding? Is he secretly plotting something big, or does he have some other goal?"

It wasn't hard to understand Kong's anger—Roger's actions made no sense at all.

It had already been some time since Gol D. Roger claimed the title of Pirate King.

After he achieved this feat, the Marines were certain that he would act on his ambition, aiming to shake the very foundations of the world. The Navy had prepared for all-out war, anticipating Roger's next move.

Yet, when they were fully ready for battle, Roger and his crew vanished completely.

It was like agreeing to fight a duel, gathering your forces in full strength, only for the opponent to never show up.

Kong and the others were left feeling infuriated and frustrated. Roger's behavior was too strange.

"Actually…"

The tension in the room was heavy, but then Garp—who had remained silent—finally spoke up.

"I've fought Roger many times," Garp said, arms crossed casually. "And to be honest, I never felt he was like Shiki, with grand ambitions to conquer the world. I don't think he's plotting anything sinister."

Sengoku frowned. "Garp, what nonsense are you talking about? He's a pirate! And not just any pirate—he's the Pirate King! If he's hiding, it has to be because he's planning something! What, do you think he's just going to retire and live in peace?"

Even Tsuru, Zephyr, and the others agreed with Sengoku.

The idea that Roger, the first Pirate King, would suddenly give up and live a quiet life?

Impossible!

"He's not the only one missing," Sengoku added grimly. "A lot of other pirates are also looking for Roger. Since he became Pirate King, countless scumbags have been desperate to join him. The fact that none of them have found him either… Roger must be deliberately hiding from everyone."

Indeed, the entire pirate world was looking for Roger.

After all, being a member of the Pirate King's crew was an incredible honor. Countless ambitious young pirates were searching for him, hoping to join the legendary crew.

Yet, despite all their efforts, nobody could find Roger.

Shocking News: The Roger Pirates Have… Disbanded?!

As the meeting continued, a Marine soldier suddenly knocked on the door and whispered something to Kong.

Kong's expression immediately changed.

After a moment of silence, he dismissed the soldier and then turned to the room.

"I've just received a new intelligence report from the New World," he said.

Sengoku immediately perked up. "Does it have to do with the Roger Pirates?"

Kong nodded. "Yes. And the report is… shocking."

The room fell silent.

Kong exhaled deeply before announcing, "Roger has officially disbanded his crew."

"WHAT?!"

The entire room was stunned.

Was this a joke?

Was the legendary Roger Pirates—the crew of the Pirate King himself—really disbanding?

Seeing their reactions, Kong continued, "I know it sounds absurd, and the information is not fully confirmed yet. But multiple sources in the New World claim that the Roger Pirates have broken up.

People have spotted Silvers Rayleigh, Scopper Gaban, and other core members—all traveling alone. However, no one has seen Roger himself."

Kong looked around the room. "So, what do you all think? Could this be real?"

The Marines Are Stunned

Everyone exchanged confused glances.

Finally, Sengoku spoke first.

"I think this is impossible," he said bluntly. "Roger just became the Pirate King. Why the hell would he suddenly disband his crew? Did he lose his mind?"

His words were harsh, but they reflected what everyone else was thinking.

Even Zephyr, Tsuru, and the others nodded in agreement.

"Actually, I think it might be true."

Everyone turned to Garp, who had been muttering to himself.

"Roger is an idiot," Garp said with a laugh. "If he woke up one day and randomly decided to break up his crew, I wouldn't be surprised at all! Hahaha!"

The others glared at him.

"…Right, right. I'll shut up now." Garp cleared his throat and stopped talking.

Roger's True Goal

Zephyr thought for a moment and said, "It could be a trick. Maybe Roger is spreading false information to make us drop our guard."

Kong nodded. "That's possible. We need to confirm it. I want constant surveillance on Wano—that's where Kozuki Oden is from. If the Roger Pirates really broke up, Oden might have gone back home."

Tsuru added, "Or maybe Oden left on his own, rather than the crew disbanding."

Kong crossed his arms. "We need more evidence. Even if the crew really did break up, Roger is still our top priority. We have to find him—no matter what."

Meanwhile, Where Is Roger?

As the Marines frantically searched for him, Roger had already left the New World.

He had visited Whitebeard and even tried to tell him the truth about Laugh Tale, but Whitebeard refused to listen.

After parting ways, Roger made a shocking decision.

He left piracy behind.

Roger traveled to the South Blue, where he quietly got married.

No one knew if he had always known this woman, or if it was love at first sight. But one thing was certain—Roger was truly happy.

The Pirate King, who had shaken the world, was now living like an ordinary man, enjoying the simple joys of life.

While the Marines, the pirates, and the world at large were in chaos…

Roger was at peace.
