Rebirth as a Time Dragon

Chapter 524: Chapter 524: Three Suns in the Sky

"Hand over the Solar Authority, or I will tear your body apart, dig out your heart, and take the Solar Authority myself."

The God of Sun and Malignant Fire spoke coldly, his entire being radiating a bloody brilliance.

Despite being ambushed and currently weakened, the God of Light, facing this malevolent deity from the Abyss, did not back down. He shone with an incandescent white light, his eyes like two blazing suns, and said, "Tezcat, if you have the ability, come and try."

Hearing the words of the God of Light, the God of Sun and Malignant Fire's eyes gleamed with a ferocious and bloodthirsty intent.

"Consider your situation. You no longer have a choice."

He sneered and then turned his head towards the World Devourer. "Sotug, let's take down the God of Light together."

"I only want his Solar Authority. As for whether he lives or dies, that's entirely up to you."

The conversation between the God of Sun and Malignant Fire and the World Devourer was not concealed from the God of Light. Upon hearing this, the God of Light's expression darkened.

The atmosphere instantly grew tense.

Caught off guard by the God of Sun and Malignant Fire, the God of Light had already suffered significant injuries from a bite by the World Devourer. However, if he were only facing either the World Devourer or the God of Sun and Malignant Fire alone, he might still have had a chance to escape from the Prime Material Plane, albeit at a considerable, but manageable, cost.

But if the World Devourer and the God of Sun and Malignant Fire joined forces against him, the God of Light, now in his weakened state, would face a life-threatening crisis under the combined assault of these two nearly omnipotent beings.

As for seeking aid from other powerful entities, the ongoing battles were so intense that none of the stronger deities could spare any help.

Those powerful entities not currently engaged in battle were mostly taking a temporary break due to the heavy toll of intense fighting, making them unable to offer significant assistance.

"Joining you to kill the annoying old Sun God... hmm, let me think."

"If the God of Light dies, I can immediately move to aid the other primeval gods, gradually gaining an advantage and eventually crushing all the gods. It sounds like a decent plan."

The World Devourer's golden eyes flickered slightly.

Upon hearing this, the God of Light's expression grew solemn, while the flames on the face of the God of Sun and Malignant Fire twisted as if in excitement.

Seizing the God of Light's Solar Authority would cause the God of Sun and Malignant Fire's power to surge dramatically. With his enhanced strength, he could more easily seek opportunities to seize the Authority of the Dawn Lord in the future.

If he could successfully claim both the God of Light's and the Dawn Lord's Authorities and combine them with his own, he would unify the Solar Authority, which had been fractured for eons.

At that point, the God of Sun and Malignant Fire would become the only Sun God in this time-space continuum, wielding the power of countless stellar radiances and gaining unimaginable strength.

"Becoming the sole Sun God, I will have the chance to stand at the pinnacle of the divine pyramid, becoming the mightiest deity!"

As these thoughts boiled in his mind, the God of Sun and Malignant Fire's blood-colored brilliance became even more intense, almost as if it were flowing blood.

But just as he was envisioning his glorious future and feeling a surge of excitement, the World Devourer suddenly changed his tone.

"But, I refuse!"

The World Devourer's enormous maw opened, revealing terrifying fangs, and he spoke, "I was born with the multiverse, wielding primordial power, the oldest and most powerful of the original beings, knowing all, seeing all."

"I am the Primeval God, honored as the World Devourer. And you, ha, you are nothing more than a lowly god born of later ages, daring to address me by name, attempting to compare yourself to the greatness of the primordial."

With the God of Sun and Malignant Fire's expression growing darker, the World Devourer slowly spat out the final words, "How utterly ridiculous, foolish and ignorant."

Boom!

Blood-red brilliance surged skyward, dyeing the entire sky the color of fresh blood.

The God of Sun and Malignant Fire was filled with ferocity and malice, his body radiating a swirling, boiling heat so intense that it distorted the surrounding space, igniting red flames out of thin air, which danced wildly like blood.

"Sotug, don't forget, you primeval gods are nothing but a bunch of useless beings trampled under the feet of the gods."

"Hiding in the dark sewers of the multiverse for countless ages, skulking like rats, and now, with a bit of gathered strength, you start to swell with pride, thinking you're still the lofty rulers, self-proclaimed as ancient, arrogant, and ignorant."

"Heh, it's your honor that I'm willing to join forces with you!"

As an Abyssal deity, the God of Sun and Malignant Fire was not known for his patience. He was a malevolent god through and through, and whenever things didn't go his way, he would incinerate everything in his path with his malignant sunfire, burning all until his rage was quenched.

The World Devourer's disdainful words directly enraged the God of Sun and Malignant Fire.

"Only the strong can afford arrogance. You, a lowly creature, are just impotently raging."

The World Devourer maintained his superior attitude, full of contempt.

In his battle with the God of Light, the World Devourer had shown some measure of respect, acknowledging the God of Light's status.

But towards the God of Sun and Malignant Fire, who had emerged much later and was not even present during the First Dawn War, the World Devourer had no regard whatsoever. He took immense pride in his identity as a primordial deity.

Meanwhile, as he listened to the exchange between the World Devourer and the God of Sun and Malignant Fire, the God of Light subtly began to gather his extraordinary divine power, concentrating his radiant light, hoping to break through the crystalline barriers of the Prime Material Plane and escape while their attention was diverted.

Unfortunately, the God of Sun and Malignant Fire, being also a sun deity, keenly sensed the God of Light's movements.

Boom!

The God of Sun and Malignant Fire's body erupted in flames, transforming into a blood-red sun, radiating endless light and heat that enveloped both the World Devourer and the God of Light.

The World Devourer opened his massive jaws, gnashing through the crimson light, creating gaps in the brilliance, his outer layer of tough hide melting and regenerating as he resisted the scorching blood-red flames, directly charging towards the God of Sun and Malignant Fire.

Despite his rage, the God of Sun and Malignant Fire understood the World Devourer's might.

If he were swallowed by the World Devourer's massive maw, even he would face inevitable destruction, with no chance of recovery.

Sizzle!

The God of Sun and Malignant Fire's figure vanished, leaving a trail of fiery light, disappearing in a flash.

The World Devourer's jaws snapped shut on empty air.

Without any pause, his massive body twisted and turned, then lunged at the God of Light.

In his weakened state, the God of Light narrowly avoided the World Devourer's fangs, almost brushing against them.

While the earlier close calls were manageable, the God of Light had always had absolute confidence in dodging the World Devourer's reckless and fierce attacks. But this time, he was not so sure.

Given his poor condition, repeated attacks from the World Devourer would eventually lead to his demise.

Moreover, it was not just the World Devourer he had to contend with, but also the ever-watching God of Sun and Malignant Fire.

In this moment of crisis, the God of Light's thoughts raced.

"In this situation, neither the World Devourer nor Tezcat will allow me to leave the Prime Material Plane."

"I can't escape. I must burn everything, fight to the death."

The God of Light did not lack resolve. Once this decision was made, he acted swiftly.

His eyes shone brightly, and with a deep breath, he spread his arms wide.

Then, a blaze of incandescent light rose around him, burning slowly, encircling him like a solar corona, solidifying into a tangible force, making him appear like a powerful sun at its zenith.

The God of Light ignited his divine body as fuel, unleashing a dazzling and blinding light, overloading his extraordinary divine power for a brief period of immense strength.

This desperate measure ensured that he wouldn't quickly fall in the ongoing battle due to his weakened state.

Sensing the God of Light's weakness from their earlier exchanges, the World Devourer's massive form rolled forward again, pressing towards him.

Although he considered the God of Sun and Malignant Fire an enemy, the World Devourer wasn't foolish. Now that the battle had begun, he naturally chose to first devour the easier target, the God of Light.

By consuming the God of Light, he would gain a significant power boost, which would then give him a chance to take down the God of Sun and Malignant Fire as well.

Coincidentally, the God of Sun and Malignant Fire had similar thoughts.

By first seizing the God of Light's Authority, his power would increase substantially, giving him the strength to defeat the World Devourer right here in the Prime Material Plane.

Thus, from another direction, the God of Sun and Malignant Fire's attacks followed closely, as his will directed crimson sun rays to coalesce into chains, burning with intense red flames and exuding a dense, malevolent aura. These chains, the Fetters of Malignant Fire, converged from all directions, continually aiming to ensnare the God of Light.

Meanwhile, the World Devourer, determined to consume the God of Light in one swift move, advanced with all his might. His body was covered with a network of interlacing lines, slightly raised like blood vessels, pulsating ceaselessly, and making hissing sounds as steam rose. His originally dark body turned as red as a branding iron, doubling his speed and creating an overwhelming momentum.

Faced with such a formidable World Devourer, the God of Light's expression grew serious, his eyes narrowing sharply.

Radiant white light intertwined and formed a scepter in the God of Light's right hand.

This scepter was pure white, flawless, with a massive, sharp crystal embedded at its tip. Its design resembled more of a war hammer than a traditional scepter.

This was the God of Light's true Solar Corona Scepter.

The crystal at its tip was painstakingly selected from millions of stars, refined and forged into existence by the God of Light himself.

At close quarters, the God of Light swung the Solar Corona Scepter with all his might.

As the God of Light swung, boundless radiance burst forth, causing the Solar Corona Scepter to expand exponentially, transforming into a colossal object thousands of meters tall, like a towering mountain.

Boom!

With a thunderous collision that resounded through the heavens, the Solar Corona Scepter struck the World Devourer, sending him flying far away. The blow shattered the tough exoskeleton on his surface, leaving deep, indented grooves, and residual solar flames slowed the healing of his wounds.

However, at the moment of impact, the World Devourer managed to bite down on the shaft of the Solar Corona Scepter, snapping it into two pieces. His thick, spiny tongue wrapped around the broken upper half, swallowing the scepter's core.

With the Solar Corona Scepter damaged, a pained look crossed the God of Light's face.

This was his most cherished weapon, perfectly suited to his power. It wouldn't have been so easily damaged if not for the World Devourer.

The World Devourer, having been struck, collided with numerous chains of malignant fire in his path, but many still remained, continuing their relentless assault on the God of Light.

Turning to face the God of Sun and Malignant Fire, the God of Light's gaze was cold and silent.

The lower half of the Solar Corona Scepter flew towards him and exploded violently.

Boom!

Incandescent white light erupted, forming a dazzling sun in the sky, engulfing and incinerating the remaining chains of malignant fire.

Thus, the Solar Corona Scepter was completely destroyed.

The God of Light, having lost his beloved weapon, did not show any pleasant expression. With a wave of his hand, he conjured a massive white meteor, thousands of meters in diameter, trailing a long, brilliant tail as it descended from the heavens, crashing towards the God of Sun and Malignant Fire with immense power.

The God of Sun and Malignant Fire was not one to be outdone. He rose from the ground, and a blood-red radiance formed a perfect sphere around him, resembling a blazing red sun, clashing violently with the white meteor.

Boom!

The entire Prime Material Plane shook violently, the ground cracking with intersecting fissures, mountains crumbling, the earth shattering, and the sky collapsing. The Prime Material Plane teetered on the brink of destruction.

Following this, the God of Sun and Malignant Fire, the God of Light, and the World Devourer clashed fiercely. Their divine powers surged and intertwined in a chaotic battle.

Due to their respective forms and wielded authorities, their battle appeared as a fight between a radiant white sun, a blood-red sun, and a solid, creature-like sun, all colliding and entangling in the sky, creating a scene of three suns shining simultaneously. The radiance from their combat alone brought catastrophic destruction to the Prime Material Plane.

Since the God of Light had ignited his divine body, exchanging it for temporary strength, his condition began to deteriorate over time. After his initial outburst, his aura gradually waned, his divine body covered with fissures from within, becoming increasingly unstable, as if it could shatter and fall at any moment.

The God of Sun and Malignant Fire and the World Devourer, noticing this, focused more of their attacks on the God of Light, further accelerating his decline.

After some time.

Sizzle!

A spear formed from blood-red brilliance pierced through the sky, tearing through the incandescent light and striking the God of Light's shoulder, embedding itself in his already cracked divine body.

The God of Light frowned, his hand glowing as he severed the blood-red spear.

On his shoulder, a crimson flame burned fiercely, corroding and exacerbating the cracks on his body.

"Pelor, unwilling to surrender the Solar Authority, this will be your burial ground!"

"As a fellow Sun God, I'm willing to give you one more chance."

"Extract the Solar Authority and hand it over to me, and I will leave immediately and assist you in escaping this place."

"Without the Solar Authority, you will still be the God of Light, albeit somewhat weaker, but with your foundation, you can maintain the status of a powerful deity."

The God of Sun and Malignant Fire spoke slowly.

The God of Light remained silent, not responding.

As the malevolent deity spoke, the World Devourer lunged at the God of Sun and Malignant Fire with a vicious bite, saying, "Lowly creature, do you think I don't exist?"

The three deities continued their fierce battle, each treating the others as enemies, creating a chaotic scene.

Meanwhile, time flowed steadily, witnessing the events.

After a while, the God of Light sustained more injuries.

Given his current state, any injury was like an avalanche, worsening his condition irreversibly.

"Pelor, keep struggling. You will face your end here. With me around, once you fall, there will be no chance of revival."

As they fought, the God of Light's injuries worsened, and the God of Sun and Malignant Fire spoke again.

"Really? We'll see."

Despite being in a perilous situation, the God of Light's expression remained calm, showing no signs of tension or fear of death.

For within the Eternal Hall of Heroes, a silver dragon was slowly opening its eyes.
