REINCARNATION OF THE STRONGEST WAR HERO

Chapter 205: THE WYVERN'S FURY

At such a young age, someone displaying this level of power was unheard of.

In all of Arcadia, there had only ever been one name that came to mind when speaking of the youngest prodigy.....

Lilith Starwind!

But that belief had shaken during the last Arcadia Young Elite Tournament. Someone else had stepped into the light. Someone as strong as her. Maybe even stronger.

And his strength had surfaced again just days ago, during the dungeon break in the central market. Leo hadn't witnessed it firsthand because he arrived a bit late, but he had heard everything from the two hunters who had. The way they spoke of Logan carried both awe and certainty. As hunters themselves, their words were enough to plant something deep in Leo's chest...

respect…

and a fragile spark of hope for the future.

Because hunters weren't selfish men and women chasing after gold. Not the true ones. Yes, dungeons provided income, but in the end, hunters fought to protect, to stand where others couldn't, to shield humanity.

With only a few exceptions like Damian and Leonard, that was the truth of their path.

So it was natural that Leo felt the same. But when news spread of Logan's death, it struck like a blade to the heart. Many felt the weight of it. A star so bright, extinguishing before it could even rise fully… swallowed by darkness too soon.

And then came another.

Another hunter of the same age as Logan. But what was even more shocking... he seemed far stronger.

Ten F-rank dungeons cleared entirely alone. Yes, F-rank dungeons were the lowest of the low, but for a newly registered C-class hunter, at that age, to achieve such a feat… it wasn't just impressive.

It was unbelievable.

Leo didn't know why, but doubt began to gnaw at him. Could it really be someone else? Or was it… Logan himself?

And after what he had seen today, that doubt had sharpened into conviction. He has grown even stronger. That level of strength he just showcased, was clearly someone's who was above A-class hunter.

Too much had happened. Too many things aligned. For it all to be a mere coincidence… was impossible.

Amidst the chaos, doubt, and confusion, the battle raged on.

While Noah, Ali, and Logan clashed against the boss, the other hunters were locked in desperate struggles with the endless tide of monsters.

Even without the wyvern, the situation offered little comfort. The sheer number of enemies was overwhelming. Goblins and dire wolves were weak individually, but in such massive swarms, they became a relentless nuisance. Worse still were the orcs and minotaurs—creatures that were normally dungeon bosses in B to D-rank raids. Now, dozens of them were charging at once, and the battlefield was descending into madness.

The hunters weren't weak. Far from it. Many were seasoned and battle-hardened. But even so… against numbers like these, casualties were inevitable.

Ali felt it too. His gaze flickered toward the hunters struggling against the tide, then snapped back to the wyvern. His voice cut sharply through the clash of battle.

"We need to take care of the boss quickly. If not, too many will die."

But what could they do?

The wyvern was a monster on an entirely different level. Ferocious, towering, merciless—this was the reason why no A-class dungeon had been cleared in recent times.

And even with two S-class hunters and one standing between S and A-class, the three of them together were still falling short.

Crackling arcs of lightning erupted from Noah's palm. With a sharp flick, deadly electric spikes shot through the air like thunderbolts, screaming toward the wyvern.

Bam!

They struck true, slamming into the beast's scaled hide. The impact forced it to skid back, claws digging into the ground as sparks flew.

But when the dust settled, its scales gleamed, barely scorched. The attack had landed perfectly… yet the wyvern hadn't taken any real damage at all.

Ali's eyes narrowed. Enough was enough.

He spread his arms wide, mana surging like a storm. The ground cracked beneath his feet as an enormous sphere of fire bloomed in front of him, swirling brighter and hotter with each passing second. But that wasn't all, air coiled around the flames, compressing them, feeding them, until the very air itself trembled under the pressure.

A massive fireball, boosted by wind, roared forward with terrifying speed.

The wyvern reacted instantly. Its wings spread wide, and from its mouth surged a torrent of fire. Not just flames, an inferno, dense and suffocating.

Boom!

The two attacks collided midair.

Flame against flame. Force against force.

The clash lit up the battlefield in a blinding blaze. Heatwaves rolled outward, making hunters shield their eyes. The ground itself buckled, and then...

Rumble!

The impact tore through the earth. The entire area quaked as though an earthquake had struck. Cracks raced across the ground.

When the light finally dimmed, both forces had canceled each other out. Nothing but smoke and shimmering heat remained between the two titans.

Ali clenched his fists, his expression grim. Even that… wasn't enough.

Logan stepped forward. His eyes sharpened. He raised his hands, mana rushing through him like a flood.

With a sharp gesture, dozens of massive ice blades materialized in the air, each one shimmering with lethal cold. Then, with a twist of his wrist, air magic surged around them, boosting their speed to a deadly extreme.

Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!

The blades screamed through the air, a storm of icy destruction, and slammed into the wyvern's body with thunderous force.

Clang! Clang! Clang!

Shards of frost burst across its scales. Several plates cracked, and a few shattered completely, scattering across the ground in a glittering spray of ice and broken scale.

But that was all.

The wyvern roared in fury, its body hardly slowed, its eyes burning hotter than before.

Logan's attack had landed perfectly… and yet, against that monstrous hide, the damage was little more than scratches.

The boss looked furious, its eyes burning with impatience from failing to claim its prey.

Then it roared...

A ferocious, bone-rattling cry that shook the battlefield.

But just then something clicked in Logan's mind.
