Chapter 17: Extorting Again!

Fang Yuan Gives Away Class Chairman

The academy was buzzing like a skibidi toilet convention. Everyone was on edge, waiting to see how the drama would unfold.

The academy elder stood at the front, his aura radiating like a low taper fade glow-up. "Gu Yue Fang Yuan," he called out, his voice echoing through the room.

Fang Yuan stood up, his expression as calm as a monk who just discovered Wi-Fi. He walked to the front, the students' eyes following him like he was the main character in a sigma edit.

"Fang Yuan, you are the first to reach Rank one middle stage in this class. As such, you will receive thirty primeval stones as a reward," the elder announced, handing Fang Yuan a white and blue money bag.

Fang Yuan opened the bag and counted the stones, his sigma energy radiating. "Thirty primeval stones. Not bad," he said, tucking the bag into his pocket.

The elder's smile tightened. "In addition, you will gain priority in choosing your second Gu. And now, I appoint you as class chairman!"

The room erupted in whispers.

"Fang Yuan as chairman? Bro's giving main character energy."

"He's C-grade though. How did he even get here?"

"This is giving beta energy. I can't accept this!"

But Fang Yuan, ever the sigma male, raised his hand. "Hold on."

The elder's smile faltered. "Yes?"

Fang Yuan smirked. "Esteemed elder, I'm not cut out for the role of chairman. I'm just a humble C-grade talent. This position should go to someone more… deserving."

The elder's jaw dropped. "You're rejecting the position? Do you realize the benefits? Ten primeval stones every time!"

Fang Yuan shrugged. "I'm good, thanks."

The students lost it.

"Bro really said, 'I don't need your clout.'"

"This is giving edge lord vibes."

"Fang Yuan's built different."

The elder's face darkened like a Grimace Shake. He had planned to trap Fang Yuan in the clan system, but Fang Yuan had outsigma'd him again.

"Fine," the elder said through gritted teeth. "The position will go to the second-place student, Gu Yue Mo Bei."

Mo Bei's eyes lit up. "Wait, I'm chairman now? This is giving rizz!"

Fang Zheng and Chi Chen were appointed as vice chairmen, but they didn't look too thrilled. Fang Zheng, in particular, looked like he'd just been hit with a skill issue.

I'm The Vice Chairman, WTF You Doing!

The sun was setting, painting the sky with that Grimace Shake pinkish-red vibe. The Qing Mao Mountain was glowing like it just got a low taper fade, and the academy buildings were draped in golden light, giving off major sigma energy.

The students were walking out of class, their pockets heavy with primeval stones, but their minds heavier with confusion.

"Bro, Fang Yuan really said, 'I don't need your clout,' and dipped on the chairman role. What's his deal?" one student whispered, shaking his head.

"He's giving edge lord vibes. Probably thinks he's too cool for the system," another replied, rolling their eyes.

Meanwhile, Gu Yue Mo Bei was strutting around like he just won the rizz Olympics.

"Good day, class chairman!" a student greeted, bowing slightly.

"Mhmm," Mo Bei replied, his chest puffed out like a peacock.

"Greetings, class chairman!" another student chimed in.

"Mhmm," Mo Bei nodded again, his sigma energy radiating.

He was living his best life, soaking in the respect and admiration. The sunset looked extra rosy today, and Mo Bei felt like the main character of his own sigma edit.

But not everyone was feeling the vibes.

Gu Yue Chi Cheng, the newly appointed vice chairman, was trailing behind, his face twisted in annoyance. "Bro's acting like he's the king of the academy just because he's chairman. This is giving beta energy," he muttered under his breath.

Meanwhile, Gu Yue Fang Zheng, the other vice chairman, was having a full-on existential crisis.

"Big brother, you…" Fang Zheng stared at Fang Yuan, who was standing at the academy gate like a sigma male blocking the entrance.

"Old rules as usual. Every person, one primeval stone," Fang Yuan said, his tone as dry as a desert.

Fang Zheng's jaw dropped. "But… I'm the vice chairman now!"

Fang Yuan raised an eyebrow. "True. Vice chairmen give three stones."

Fang Zheng looked like he'd just been hit with a skill issue.

The Class Chairman Gets Cooked

Mo Bei swaggered up to the gate, his sigma energy on full display. "Fang Yuan! You dare block the gate? I'm the chairman now! Bow and greet me!"

What answered him was Fang Yuan's fist.

Bam!

Mo Bei stumbled back, his face a mix of shock and disbelief. "You hit me?! I'm the chairman!"

Fang Yuan didn't even blink. Bam! Bam! Bam!

A few punches later, Mo Bei was on the ground, unconscious. The students watched in stunned silence, their brains struggling to process what just happened.

The guards at the gate exchanged glances.

"Should we… do something?" one guard whispered.

"Nah, bro. Salad dressing," the other replied, shrugging.

"What does that even mean?"

"It means we stay out of it and let Fang Yuan do his thing. You wanna mess with him? Remember what happened to Wang Da and Wu Er?"

The first guard shuddered and quickly shut up.

After dealing with Mo Bei, Fang Yuan turned to the rest of the students. "New rules. Each of you hands over one primeval stone. Vice chairmen, three stones. Chairman, eight stones."

The students groaned but obediently handed over their stones. As they walked out of the gate, one student slapped his forehead.

"Ohhh, I get it now! Fang Yuan didn't take the chairman role because he wanted to keep extorting us!"

"Bro's playing 4D chess while we're out here playing checkers," another student muttered.

"This is giving villain energy. He's too OP," a third added, shaking their head.

The Academy Elder Crashes Out

Back in his office, the academy elder was fuming. He slammed his hand on the table, his aura flickering like a dying light bulb.

"This Fang Yuan is out of control! He's undermining the entire system!" the elder roared, his face red with rage.

He paced back and forth, muttering to himself. "If I punish him, the clan head will have my head. If I don't, he'll keep challenging the system. This is giving me a headache!"

The elder picked up the investigation reports on his desk, scanning through them again.

"Fang Yuan's background is clean, his life is simple, and he's obsessed with cultivation. But how did he advance to the middle stage so quickly? What's his secret?"

Before he could dive deeper into his thoughts, there was a knock on the door.

"Come in," the elder barked.

A guard entered, his face serious. "Elder, the clan leader summons you to the main family pavilion. It's urgent."

The elder frowned. "What's the matter?"

"Sir Jia Fu has returned. His brother, Jia Jin Sheng, is missing."

The elder's face went pale. "OH NO, WE ARE ALL COOKED."
