Re:Zero All Sins

Chapter 21: Do you want me too tell them

Subaru leaned back in his chair, crossing his arms as he continued to smirk. Seeing Roswaal actually reading his book was a surreal experience. The eccentric clown mage had his usual unreadable expression, but the fact that he hadn't put it down yet was a good sign.

[Inside his mind, Daphne giggled. "You really just changed the game, huh? Now everyone's gonna want more stories like this."

Pandora playfully added, "Of course, Daphne This world was starved for fresh storytelling! Old legends, ancient myths, tragic romances—it's all they had! But this? A coming-of-age tale with ninja, power struggles, and an underdog hero? No wonder they're eating it up."]

Subaru chuckled to himself. "And this is just the beginning."

Roswaal finally closed the book and looked up, his ever-present smirk widening. "Maa~ Subaru-kun, I must say, this is quite an intriguing piece of work."

Subaru shrugged, playing it cool. "Well, I do have a talent for storytelling."

Roswaal chuckled. "Talent, indeed. But I wonder... what exactly made you decide to pursue this venture?"

Subaru met his gaze, smirking. "Let's just say... I like shaking things up."

Roswaal's smirk deepened, his eyes glinting with interest. "I see~ How fascinating..."

Roswaal looker as he spoke. "So Subaru, do you want me to tell the others".

Subaru looked at him as he spoke. "Nah, let's keep it our secret".

Roswaal then floated a letter too him. "A letter from the publishing company, your lucky that I am the only that checks and mail, it was delivered a few hourse ago".

Subaru then spoke grabbing the latter. "That Fast?".

Roswaal chuckles as he spoke. "We live in a world of Magic the postal service as a same day delivery process".

As he goes away as Subaru, blinked and thought too him. "I am supires that this world even know what smas day delivery is"

[Carmilla in then spoke in his head. "I-is it that unbelievable"]

Subaru spoke back in his mind. "Not really Carmilla"

Subaru tore open the letter and scanned through the contents, his eyes widening as he read. The letter was from Regis, and the words practically leapt off the page.

"Subaru Natsuki—no, should I say Rusa? Your book is a phenomenon. We printed a test batch, and it sold out within hours. Demand is skyrocketing, and even nobles are placing orders. Congratulations, you're officially an author!"

Subaru couldn't help but grin. "Holy crap… this is actually happening!"

[Carmilla's voice wavered in his head. "T-that's amazing, Subaru… Y-you're making history."]

[Daphne chimed in. "You're gonna be filthy rich, huh? Does that mean more food? More meat? Hehehe~"]

[Satella whispered softly. "I'm happy for you, Subaru…"]

Subaru exhaled sharply, trying to contain his excitement. If even nobles were reading Naruto, then this was more than just a success—it was a revolution in storytelling.

"Alright, let's see what else Regis has to say."

He continued reading, reaching the last paragraph.

"With the overwhelming demand, I need more manuscripts immediately. We'll begin mass production soon. Also, we've received a request—someone influential wants to meet the author of Naruto."

Subaru blinked, rereading that last line.

"Wait… someone influential? Who the hell wants to meet me?"

[Echidna then spoke. "At this rate you will be able to make the witch's hand faster then Normal"

Pandora then spoke. "After Naruto is done, what will you do when the 4 Volume of Naruto are done"]

Subaru then spoke. "Not now". He then rushed too Raswaal as he found him. "I need you too fast travel me".

Meanwhile in a different place someone was also reading Naruto, as he was enjoying, he was not Human, he is a wolf human with relatively long black fur clad in a dishevelled black kimono possessing worn-down purple accents. His large height makes him tower over a fully-grown Subaru like a black statue covered in fur, and his golden eyes are usually narrowed into two slits. He often likes biting on his golden kiseru with his teeth. More often than not, Halibel gives off a rather laid-back air through his appearance.

[Insert Image of Halibal]

Halibal closed the book as he smirked. "A writer from Kararagi in Lugunica, I gess coming here wasn't a waste of time too come here, I wonder if I can meet him one"?

Meanwhile with Subaru, he was brought by Roswaal by air travel, he decided onces he goes roo speel and goes too the hanging Garden he is having Echidna teach him that, he went inside the Silver Quil Publishing, as he went inside as he was took by assistant to Ragis room, as Subaru came in panting as he looked up too see Ragis next too a woman, she is a petite woman with blue green eyes and long, wavy purple hair that extends to her hips. She wears a long white dress with a fur hat (similar to the Russian Ushanka) and scarf along with a large purse shaped like a wallet. She also wears a yellow star-shaped hairpin on her hair and a small teal pendant around her neck. She is described to have cute looks and an aura similar to a small animal. Later, in the Water Plumage Inn, she wears a yukata.

[Insert Image of Anastasia]

Ragis looked at Subaru as he spoke. "Subaru I would like to interduce you too Anastasia".

[Minerva then spoke in his head. "Half of Volume 2 is done, it is in you inventory, fuck they are not paying attention it is in your hand now god dear"]

Subaru blinked, still catching his breath as he processed what just happened.

"Wait… Anastasia? As in that Anastasia Hoshin? The head of the Hoshin Trading Company?"

His mind raced. What the hell is a merchant queen doing here?

Anastasia, meanwhile, smiled as she sized him up, her sharp blue-green eyes filled with intrigue. "Well, ain't this a surprise? I was expectin' someone a bit more… seasoned. But I suppose genius comes in all shapes an' sizes."

Subaru coughed, trying to regain composure. "Uh… thanks, I guess?" He turned to Regis. "Okay, so what's going on here?"

Regis leaned back in his chair, smirking. "Well, Rusa, your book isn't just a hit, it's a sensation. People are talking, and someone like Anastasia here—who's always looking for the next big thing—couldn't ignore it."

Anastasia tapped a gloved finger against her chin. "True enough. I read Naruto, an' I gotta say, it's somethin' fresh. I like fresh. Now, I ain't just here to praise ya, sweetheart. I'm here to invest."

Subaru's eyes widened. Invest?

[Echidna then spoke in his mind. "Oh? Now this is interesting. A business partnership with someone like her? If you play your cards right, Subaru, you might just speed up the Witch's Hand's influence."]

[Satella's voice was quiet. "Be careful, Subaru…"]

Minerva groaned. "Just take the damn deal already!"

Subaru gulped. This was way bigger than he expected. He had planned to make money, but now he was getting the attention of the big leagues.

He took a deep breath, steeled himself, and met Anastasia's gaze.

"Alright, I'm listening. What kind of investment are we talking about?"

Anastasia's smile widened, sensing Subaru's interest. She leaned forward slightly, her gloved hands resting on her lap.

"Simple, really," she began, her Kansai-like accent making her words flow smoothly. "Yer sittin' on a goldmine, Rusa. This Naruto thing? It ain't just a book. It's a brand. An' if ya let me handle things, I can make sure it reaches every corner of Lugunica, Kararagi, Gusteko—heck, even Vollachia if we push hard enough."

Subaru's mind reeled. A brand? He hadn't even considered that yet. He was just focused on writing, but Anastasia was already thinking way ahead.

"So," Anastasia continued, tilting her head slightly. "How 'bout we strike a deal? You keep writin', I handle distribution, and we split the profits—fair and square."

Regis cleared his throat. "Of course, my publishing company will still handle production and initial distribution. But having Hoshin Trading Company backing us would ensure far greater reach."

Subaru narrowed his eyes. This was a huge opportunity, but he knew better than to take deals blindly—especially with someone like Anastasia.

[Echidna smirked in his mind. "She's dangerous, Subaru. But if you play this right, you can control the flow of information in this world. Imagine the power that gives you."]

[Satella's voice was softer. "She wants something from you. Be careful, Subaru…"]

Subaru sighed, rubbing his temples. "Alright, alright… Let's talk specifics. What's your cut?"

Anastasia chuckled. "Straight to business, huh? I like that." She held up two fingers. "Twenty percent of all revenue from Naruto. In return, I handle all long-distance sales, advertising, an' makin' sure nobody starts bootleggin' yer work."

Subaru almost flinched. Twenty percent? That was a huge cut. But considering what she was offering… was it worth it?

[Minerva snorted. "Tch. Just take it. She's doing half the work anyway."]

[Pandora hummed. "Negotiation is key, Subaru. Why not test her a little?"]

Subaru thought for a moment before shaking his head. "Fifteen percent."

Anastasia blinked, then let out a small giggle. "Oh? Negotiatin' with me, are ya?"

"Of course," Subaru said, leaning forward. "You're offering a lot, but I did do all the creative work. And let's be real—Naruto is already selling like crazy. You need me just as much as I need you."

Anastasia's eyes glinted with amusement. "Hoooh… Ya got guts, I'll give ya that." She thought for a moment before finally nodding. "Alright, sweetheart. Fifteen percent it is. But just remember—ya owe me a favor in the future."

Subaru gulped. A favor? That sounded ominous.

[Echidna laughed. "Oh, this is getting interesting."]

"Fine," Subaru said, shaking her hand. "Deal."

Anastasia smirked. "Pleasure doin' business with ya, Rusa."

As their handshake ended, Subaru couldn't help but feel like he'd just made a deal with a fox. But if this worked out… Naruto could spread across the world.

And with that, the next phase of his plan had begun.

Ragis then spoke. "So got something new kid".

Subaru dropped the Naruto Volume 2. "Will half of Volume 2 is done when I was writing I got the letter, if continue after the last Volume end in the middle of the Chunin Exam, it picks after the forest of death"

Sounds like a solid chapter ending! You've set up a lot of intrigue with Subaru's growing influence, the success of Naruto in this world, and the quiet hints of his long-term plans. Plus, the interactions with Anastasia and Regis add a nice touch of world-building.

What's the plan for the next chapter? Are you diving into more of the publishing side, or shifting focus back to Emilia and the main storyline?
