'Killing Intent?'

Corey's pupils constricted and his expression became cold as he felt a faint and subtle killing intent target him.

The killing intent went as fast as it came, and because of how fast it went, some might even feel like their senses were wrong or playing tricks on them. However, Corey was certain that somebody emitted killing intent towards him.

His Demi-Paragon senses along with the unique senses of his Cosmic Soul could not be wrong. Also, his experience with the Paragon Ancestor's killing intent made him extremely sensitive to killing intent.

'Who was it? And why do they want to kill me? I don't recognize anybody here.'

Without moving his head to look back for the culprit, Corey's eyes changed and his deep violet nightmarish and sky blue dreamy eyes became pure white.

A bird's eye view of everybody in Stormcliff Rest appeared in his mind, and Corey scanned through every single individual for anybody that was acting suspicious or was familiar to him. However, he saw nothing.

Corey frowned deeply.

His Eyes of Omniscience receded, and his Eyes of Dreams and Nightmares appeared. The moment his eyes changed, the female receptionist finished writing down their names.

"Alright, I've recorded down your names and appearance. Your rooms are-"

'I couldn't find the person. If I had been using my Eyes of Omniscience instead of my Eyes of Dreams and Nightmares, I would have passively recorded what I was seeing in the inn, and I would be able to go through it to see who had the strangest behaviour when I mentioned my title.'

Due to the thoughts that were going through his mind, Corey did not bother listening to the words of the female receptionist. Fortunately, Divine quickly replied in his stead.

He quickly took the keys from the receptionist, and with a nudge on Corey's shoulder, he gestured to the stairs that led to the second floor of the inn.

Corey glanced at him, and without saying anything, he followed behind Divine and Melissa. As he climbed the stairs, his eyes turned pure white and he observed the Tainteds and Outsiders of the inn once again.

However, even when he reached his room, he failed to notice anybody who could have enjoyed the killing intent toward him.

'Hmm, the person is very careful.'

Corey had this thought as he sat on the bed with his legs crossed. Just as he was about to deactivate his Eyes of Omniscience, he saw a man climb up the stairs, and although Corey thought nothing of it, he had a feeling that the man's destination was either his room, Divine's, or Melissa's.

'It's most likely my room or Divine's room.' Corey thought with a slightly curious expression.

Because of the belief he had towards his instincts, he kept his Eyes out Omniscience activated, and he watched the man.

Some seconds later, his instincts were proven right. However, he was wrong in his guess.

The man stopped right in front of Melissa's room with a light smile on his face. He exhaled lightly, and then he knocked.

Corey tilted his head slightly with a curious but confused expression as he watched this. He waited for a while and so did the man.

Some seconds later, the door opened, with Melissa also having a curious expression as she observed the man before speaking.

Through his Ears of Omniscience, he could hear the conversation between Melissa and the man, and the more he heard, the stranger Corey's expression became.

The first thing he learned was the man's name, which was Javier.

Of all the things his main consciousness and Stars of Consciousness thought of regarding the purpose of Javier, what he never expected was that Javier desired to sleep with Melissa.

Although he did not say it outrightly, and what he had been saying was that he wanted to get to know Melissa and so on, Corey knew that the main purpose of Javier was to sleep with Melissa.

Corey knew that Melissa knew this and he was curious as to what Melissa's response would be.

'I have some ideas on the personalities and behaviors of Divine, Rosa, Fatty Black Bonez, and Dave. But the two members in our group I don't really relate with and know about is Melissa and Triple X.'

'I wonder what her decision would be. I believe Divine has feelings for her.'

To Corey's surprise, Javier was able to engage and make Melissa laugh and she seemed to be enjoying Javier's company.

Some minutes later, Javier requested to enter Melissa's room so that they could talk in a more comfortable position and environment.

Once again, to Corey's surprise, Melissa agreed, and both of them entered Melissa's room.

'Is the Captain about to wear a green hat?' Corey's lips twitched as he had this thought.

As he watched the conversation and increasing body contact between Melissa and Javier, Corey wondered if he should stop watching and know if Divine was about to get cucked or if he should go to Melissa's room and interfere before Divine got cucked.

'It's not my place to interfere. Besides, if Melissa sleeps with him, then Divine would be able to know the type of woman he likes… He can make his decision after that.'

After coming to a decision, he kept on observing, and some minutes later, they began getting intimate and then they began having sex.

Corey deactivated his Eyes of Omniscience and said a silent prayer for Divine.

He shook his head and closed his eyes. Just as he was about to enter the Perceptual Nexus Repository, he heard footsteps and then a knock resounded from the door of his room.

Corey furrowed his brows, and with a thought, his eyes turned pure white. The person in front of his room became visible, and he became confused because the man in front of his room was a complete stranger.

Corey extended the range of his vision, trying to see if there was any trap laid out for him. However, he saw none.

'Strange.'

Corey frowned, and then he opened the door. When he did, an average bald looking man with a long beard and glasses appeared

before him.

"Good day, Mr. Smile Reaper. My name is Brandon, and I'm here to offer you an invitation and an opportunity."
