Super Gene Ⅱ: Evolution

Chapter 820 Unpredictable

The Jade Emperor had once said that one only needed to call his esteemed name to summon him, but unfortunately, when Lin Shen had tried before, he had been unable to call forth the Jade Emperor.

If the contents of this note could truly summon a Great God like the Supreme Old Lord, then such an appraisal would seem somewhat reasonable.

But could a mere sentence like this really summon the Supreme Old Lord?

The Jade Emperor was Lin Shen's own chosen Guardian Spirit, and Lin Shen hadn't been able to summon him. Could a few words on this slip of paper really do it? Lin Shen was very skeptical in his heart.

However, if the words on this note were useless, how could Commerce Star have appraised it at such a high price? Commerce Star certainly wouldn't act without basis. After all, the appraisal for an Immortal Pet was less than twenty, unless it could summon that Great God; otherwise, how could it possibly be so valuable?

While Lin Shen was pondering in confusion, the various races of the cosmos were already in an uproar.

In a place where even Immortal Pets could only be appraised for a dozen or so coins, there was a small jade box with a completely blank description that was appraised at nearly ten thousand, leaving the previously most expensive Asura Ghost Pet far behind, not even on the same level.

Everyone was now speculating what kind of treasure the small jade box could be to have such a high appraisal.

Some had even begun to speculate that the little jade box was a treasure left by The Ancient Realm King, a Spatial Device containing the treasure of The Ancient Realm King; otherwise, how could it have such a high appraisal?

Everyone wanted to know exactly what the small jade box was, but no one knew where it was, nor did anyone know the origin of that small jade box.

The Lion King Clan, the current Lion King Rein, had come to a cottage.

"Sage, there's something I'd like you to help predict," Lion King Rein spoke to the cottage.

"Rein, I owe you a favor. Are you sure you want me to repay that favor right now?" an old voice came from inside the cottage.

"Yes," Lion King Rein answered affirmatively.

"Very well, tell me what you want to know, and from then on, we will be even," the old voice inside said.

"I want to know who currently has this jade box in their possession," Lion King Rein played a video on his communicator, which showed the small jade box ranked on the leaderboard.

"Wait here," the voice inside the cottage said.

Lion King Rein quietly waited, believing that the Sage would certainly be able to give him an answer.

The Sage possessed the power of foresight, which was truly an Immortal Law. As long as he desired to know something, he would surely get the answer.

The run-down cottage suddenly emitted a strange radiance, which seemed to twist the cottage and everything else around it.

A moment later, the strange radiance suddenly dissipated, and Lion King Rein heard a miserable scream of "ah."

Lion King Rein was startled and quickly rushed into the cottage, only to see an old man collapsed on the ground, with blood continuously seeping from his seven orifices.

"No... un-measurable... un-measurable..." the old man kept repeating this phrase, with blood continuously spilling from his mouth.

Lion King Rein hurriedly took out a potion and poured it into the old man's mouth, which slightly alleviated his condition.

"No need to exert yourself... I'm not dying yet... I've suffered backlash from the power of the Law... These potions can only treat the physical injuries on my body... They can't heal the damage to the foundation of my Law..." With Lion King Rein's support, the old man sat up on the bed, "That object is too inconceivable, it's an ominous thing, I advise you it's best not to have anything to do with it, otherwise great disaster will surely come." "I suspect it's the spatial device left behind by The Ancient Realm King, inside there is The Ancient Realm King's treasure," Lion King Rein said unwillingly.

"No matter what it is, don't touch it," the old man said shaking his head.

Lion King Rein fell silent. If it really was The Ancient Realm King's treasure, he had no choice but to contend for it.

If he didn't contend for it and it was seized by others, the Lion King Clan might never be able to ascend to the pinnacle of the cosmos again, and they might even be enslaved by other tribes.

Almost at the very same moment, a figure, entirely enveloped in a cloak, stood before a device massive as a hill.

On that device, lights crazily spun around, and on the screen was the image of that small jade box.

Suddenly, white smoke started billowing from various parts of the device, and the next second, it caught fire. Before the staff could attempt to put out the flames, the device exploded.

Many workers died on the spot; those who were lucky enough to survive were also severely injured, with limbs severed and scattered all around. Some were still ablaze, obviously about to be turned to char.

For a moment, screams of agony and continuous explosions were incessant, the area was lit with fires and dense smoke billowing everywhere.

The Cloaked One stood amidst the thick smoke, watching the burning remains of the device, with a strange red light flickering in their eyes.

"Clan Leader, the God-Creation No.7 Mainframe is ruined; we cannot calculate the origins of that thing," said a person with six black wings, who looked like a member of the Celestial Race, yet was somehow different from them, emotionlessly reporting to The Cloaked One.

"Those things have appeared again... We must find it..." The red light in The Cloaked One's eyes dimmed, his face unseen, his voice sounded hoarse and aged, like that of an old man on the verge of death.

"I'll notify the members of each group to search for the whereabouts of the small jade box," the Six-winged Celestial said.

"Awaken the Divine Echo Team," The Cloaked One said slowly.

"Now?" The expressionless Six-winged Celestial finally showed surprise, looking at The Cloaked One.

"We've prepared for so many years, it's about time," The Cloaked One walked towards the still blazing and exploding device, crushing the mountainous wreckage with a palm strike, stepping through the debris to pick up a transparent polyhedral crystal.

Pinching the crystal in his fingers, it suddenly started twinkling with light, and countless glimmers flowed from within, running down his fingers into The Cloaked One's body.

After a moment, the light from the crystal faded, turning into fine sand that scattered from his hand.

Yet, the red light in The Cloaked One's eyes turned to white, the beams of light shooting from his eyes crossed in front of him, finally coalescing into two floating characters.

"Celestial," the Six-winged Celestial, upon seeing the two characters, suddenly became fierce, "Is the small jade box related to the Celestial Race?"

"This is the closest possibility calculated by God-Creation No.7," The Cloaked One's eye glimmer dimmed down, and the light in front of him immediately vanished, "Let's start with the Celestial Race."

"Very well, I have waited for this day for a long time," the Six-winged Celestial's eyes filled with murderous intent, his mouth curled into a bizarre smile, "The Celestial Race... it's time for them to meet their true Heavenly Emperor..."
