Chapter 20: Chapter 21 – The Fall of President Luthor
The Oval Office was silent except for the steady ticking of an antique clock. President Lex Luthor sat behind his desk, swirling a glass of whiskey in his hand. His face was calm, unreadable.
Across from him stood Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman.
This wasn't a diplomatic meeting.
This was judgment.
Lex took a slow sip of his drink before setting the glass down. "I assume you're not here for a friendly conversation."
Superman's eyes glowed faintly red. "You sold out Earth."
Lex smirked. "I saved Earth. I gave Talia just enough information to weaken you so you wouldn't become a tyrant. Clearly, I underestimated you."
Diana's grip on her sword tightened. "Millions could have died because of you."
Lex shrugged. "And yet, they didn't. Because of him." He nodded toward Superman. "Because I forced him to become what he was meant to be."
Superman clenched his fists. "You think you can justify this?"
"I don't have to justify anything." Lex leaned back in his chair. "I'm the President of the United States. And last I checked, even you have to answer to the law."
Batman stepped forward, dropping a thick dossier onto Lex's desk. "Not anymore."
Lex raised an eyebrow.
Bruce continued. "We have evidence. Documents. Wire transfers. Secret communications. Proof that you gave the League of Shadows everything they needed. You committed treason, Luthor."
Lex's smirk faltered.
Superman loomed over him. "You're finished."
Lex exhaled slowly, placing his hands on the desk. "You think the world will just let you take me down?"
Superman's gaze was unshaken. "No, Lex."
"I'm taking over."
Superman's New World Order
The news spread like wildfire.
President Luthor—removed from office.
The world held its breath.
And then, it happened.
Superman stood before the United Nations, his voice carried across every screen, every radio, every communication channel on Earth.
"For too long, humanity has been ruled by greed, corruption, and selfish ambition. Those days are over. Today, I take responsibility for the world. Not as a ruler. Not as a conqueror. But as its protector. No more war. No more suffering. No more weakness. From this day forward… the Earth is under my watch."
The world changed overnight.
Governments dissolved. Armies stood down. The people, tired of war and suffering, accepted their new protector.
Some called him a savior.
Others… called him a god.
But one thing was clear—
Superman now ruled the world.
Lex's Last Words
In a high-security prison, Lex Luthor sat in his cell, watching the news unfold.
A shadow appeared at his door.
Batman.
Lex chuckled. "You always said this would happen, didn't you?"
Bruce didn't respond.
Lex leaned forward, his eyes gleaming. "You know he won't stop here. Right now, it's peace. Security. But sooner or later, someone will challenge him. And when they do, he'll crush them."
Batman remained silent.
Lex smirked. "And when that day comes, you'll have to stop him."
Bruce turned to leave.
But before he did, he whispered, "I know."
And with that, he was gone.
Lex leaned back in his chair, grinning.
Because he had won.
Not today.
Not tomorrow.
But one day.
Because he knew—
Superman was no longer the hero.
He was the Empire.
And empires always fall.
