Chapter 40: Rebellion Against Heaven - Part 27

Chapter 27: The Trial of Death and Daichi's Inferno

In the depths of the Underworld, where time and space are meaningless, the Common Herald emerged from the gloom, holding what was left of Haru and Kenta's bodies.

Before him, a throne made of skulls lay in the center of a vast dark room. Death, an entity shrouded in ethereal shadows, watched the macabre gift with lifeless eyes.

The Herald bowed and spoke in a spectral voice:

"The Bastard, Ryuusei sends you this gift..." with his most sincere intentions.

Death was silent for a moment, then raised one of his beautiful hands like snow and examined the mutilated remains. Parts devoured, bones splintered, flesh torn off and still dripping dark blood and I could still see Haru's green eyes as they moved in almost unimaginable pain. A picture of agony and despair.

"Interesting," whispered Death in a tone that echoed in eternity. Ryuusei has exceeded my expectations.

With a simple wave of his hand, the bodies vanished into ashes.

"Tell him I've received his message," the entity continued. And that their thirst for revenge is welcome in my domain.

The Herald nodded and disappeared, ready to deliver the answer to his master.

Meanwhile, at Ryuusei's mansion, Daichi's personal hell was just beginning.

(The Hall of Agony)

The sound of dripping dirty water and the smell of iron filled the room. The light was dim, barely enough to illuminate the walls covered with torture tools. Chains hung from the ceiling, and the floor was stained with the memory of countless victims.

In the center, Daichi was strapped to a metal chair, his body held down with thick leather and steel straps. He was just beginning to regain consciousness when a brutal slap woke him up completely.

PLAK!

"Welcome back, Daichi," Ryuusei murmured, her face showing a sickly expression. I hope you've rested... because what is coming will be unforgettable.

Daichi tried to move, but the pain in his limbs stopped him. I had no escape.

Ryuusei took a dagger and slowly slid it down his prisoner's arm, not pressing too hard, just enough to leave a thin red line on his skin.

"You know?" Lately I watched a fantasy series... one about dragons and thrones," he whispered, leaning into Daichi's ear. And in that series, there are stories of a young man captured and tortured in the North.

Daichi opened his eyes in horror.

"Yes, Theon Greyjoy..." they capture him, break him, reduce him to nothing..." Ryuusei smiled. And that's exactly what I'll do with you.

Without warning, he buried the dagger in Daichi's thigh.

AHHHHHHH!

A heart-rending scream echoed through the room.

Ryuusei drew the dagger slowly, enjoying every second of his victim's suffering.

"Does it hurt?" He asked with false compassion. Do not worry... This is just the beginning.

He stood up and took his warhammer, swinging it with ease.

"You abandoned me when everything was falling apart in the Death Games. You thought I had forgotten... But revenge is a dish that is served cold.

With a sadistic smile, he raised the hammer and smashed it Daichi's knee.

CRACK!

Daichi's scream turned into an inhuman scream.

Ryuusei watched the scene with satisfaction.

Ryuusei watched as Daichi's body regenerated rapidly and this made him even more excited

"Well... Now we are having fun.
