Chapter 363: [363] Relentless Advance
No sooner had they left the safety floor than silver boots and greatswords instantly dispatched the monsters charging toward them.
"Proceed directly along the planned route! Stay alert for new monster types approaching!"
Finn's commanding voice rang out as he issued orders.
From the 51st floor onward, the dungeon's structure was entirely different from the upper levels. The ground, sky, and walls of this underground space were a glossy black, with intricate yet uniformly styled passageways connecting one massive chamber after another.
At a glance, it resembled the upper floors frequented by novice adventurers, but the scale was incomparable.
Moreover, the pathways here were much narrower, making it impossible for the group to fight as freely as they would on open terrain.
Thus, they had to avoid any unnecessary battles and conserve their strength.
"Turn left ahead!"
A crossroads appeared before the vanguard. Following Finn's command, Bete and Tiona immediately veered left without hesitation.
No one questioned Finn's instructions—everyone placed absolute trust in their leader.
After all, they all knew just how much effort Finn had poured into conquering the unexplored depths. Every detail of the dungeon up to the 58th floor was already etched into his mind.
"Monsters spawning ahead—fast!"
"Vanguard, ignore them! Ais, Eiji, handle it!"
"Understood!"
Bete and Tiona paid no heed to the rapidly expanding cracks in the walls, charging past them without slowing.
Then, at Finn's order, two figures shot forward from the left and right, moving with blinding speed toward the walls.
"Moo—!"
Emerging from the walls were hordes of Black Steel Rhinos.
"Whoa, these things make great armor material!"
Tsubaki's eyes gleamed with greed, her fingers twitching with the urge to collect.
"There's better stuff further down—leave them for now!"
Finn kept his eyes on the battlefield while firmly reminding her.
"Got it!"
With limited backpack space, if they were going to gather materials, it made more sense to prioritize monsters from deeper floors—their parts were far more valuable.
Though reluctant, Tsubaki abandoned the idea.
The hides of Black Steel Rhinos were incredibly tough—even Level 5 adventurers would struggle to take them down easily.
But—
A sword flashed like lightning.
Unbelievably fast!
Devastatingly powerful!
The blade sliced through the newborn Black Steel Rhinos as effortlessly as a hot knife through butter, cleaving them cleanly in half.
"His attack power is on a completely different level from ordinary Level 5s!"
Finn monitored the battle on the left.
Watching Eiji's swordsmanship sent a chill down his spine. That lightning-fast blade moved in ways he couldn't even track—one misstep, and it felt like his head might fly off.
"No wonder he held back against Bete. His strength is at least on par with mine!"
Not only that, but over the past half-month, Eiji's abilities had grown exponentially, and his swordsmanship had become even more unfathomable—utterly beyond comprehension.
This was only natural. Even Eiji had taken half a minute to comprehend this swordsmanship initially and had to injure himself once to master it. Those lacking sufficient skill couldn't grasp even the basics.
Though Finn was inwardly astonished, he grew even more exhilarated.
This meant their chances of success on this expedition had significantly increased!
Meanwhile, Ais effortlessly dispatched several Black Steel Rhinos. Having reached Level 6, she cut through these monsters like slicing melons, her ease mirroring Eiji's relaxed demeanor.
"We can do this!"
Finn brimmed with confidence.
Compared to their last attempt, their combat strength was overwhelmingly superior now!
"A large group of monsters incoming!"
"Don't get bogged down—break through quickly!"
The Dungeon roared in defiance.
To repel the intruding adventurers, countless monsters surged from every corner of the floor—side passages, crossroads, ceilings, walls—emerging and spawning endlessly. Dozens appeared simultaneously in an instant.
Relentless encounters with formidable foes—this was the terror of the 51st floor, several times more perilous than the 49th.
Yet this party showed no trace of fear.
Bete, leveraging his former role as a skirmisher, kicked aside every monster blocking their path without pursuing the wounded ones, sprinting forward without pause.
Stopping on this floor was unthinkable—hesitation meant being encircled by swarms of monsters. Only by maintaining relentless momentum could they break through.
"New-type monsters approaching!"
Soon after Tiona's tense warning, a five-meter-long green caterpillar emerged from the passage, slithering along the ceiling toward them.
"Shift formation—Tiona, swap with Ais!"
At Finn's command, Tiona swiftly retreated while Ais leaped forward from the right flank.
"—Tempest!"
A verdant gale erupted from Ais's body, coiling around her silver-white blade.
"Ais, lend me your wind!"
"Understood!"
The wind dispersed, absorbed into Bete's silver boots.
Then, twin tempests blasted forth like artillery, obliterating the green caterpillars in their path. Even their splattered fluids were blown away, clearing a wide passage.
"After reaching Level 6, the power of Ais's wind has surged dramatically!"
Eiji noted how the wind's roar was far more ferocious than before.
With Ais's gale as their spearhead, the party easily traversed the bloodied corridor, following the official route to the staircase leading to the 52nd floor.
"From here on, prepare for no resupply."
At the stairway, Finn addressed the group.
His words implied that any recovery should happen now—though none of them, having emerged unscathed, needed it.
"Before we proceed, one final reminder: discard everything you know about the Dungeon. From this point onward, the rules of the upper floors no longer apply!"
Tension rippled through the party.
Tsubaki glanced around, her expression turning incredulous.
Was it truly that terrifying?
"Move out!"
With that brief order, the squad descended into the 52nd floor.
Within the glossy black maze corridors, eerily similar to the 51st floor, they sprinted even faster than before.
"Avoid combat if possible—if unavoidable, blast through!"
Finn continued issuing commands.
The frequency and number of monster appearances showed no signs of decreasing. Everyone's expressions were tense as they sprinted forward.
"Wow, there's a valuable drop item!"
During their advance, Ais destroyed a spider-shaped monster, causing a black spider leg to drop.
Tsubaki's eyes instantly lit up, and she couldn't resist breaking away from the group.
"Don't go!"
But suddenly, Eiji, who was guarding the left flank, grabbed her arm.
"Why? I don't see any danger around?"
Tsubaki looked around in disbelief.
"We're already being targeted!"
Even though there were no monsters blocking their path, Tsubaki saw Eiji's expression turn extremely serious.
