Chapter 413: Chapter 412: The Survival Game in Belobog’s Snowfields
Hearing Stelle's desire to stay busy, Pei Guang pondered for a moment.
"If you don't want to sit around, let's find something fun to do. Earth's out for now—we have no way of knowing what'll happen there in just a day, considering how time flows. We just finished with Xianzhou. The space station too. That only leaves one place—"
"Belobog!!!"
Stelle's eyes lit up with excitement. They had already revisited Herta Space Station, but Belobog remained unexplored. Even though they had initially gone to the station at Herta's invitation, that hadn't stopped them from having a blast.
Stelle started brainstorming. "We've already gone everywhere inside Belobog, but we never fully explored the snowfields outside the city, right? What if we go check out the wastelands?"
Thinking back to their time in Belobog, there had been plenty of hilarious incidents—like when Pei Guang revealed his identity and got misunderstood by the Silvermane Guards, or the infamous wanted poster that became a local sensation.
Stelle still had a copy of that poster, and she had to admit—Gepard's drawing skills were something else. While the portrait didn't resemble Pei Guang at all on the outside, it perfectly captured his essence.
Hearing Stelle's suggestion, Pei Guang thought for a moment.
"That's actually a solid idea. We pretty much combed through every inch of the city itself, so there's not much left to do there. Heading outside to see if we can dig up anything interesting sounds like a great plan. And survival in the snowfields? That already sounds fun as hell!"
That was all Stelle needed to hear. "Then let's go!!"
Before Pei Guang could even respond, March 7th's door slowly creaked open. She stepped out of her room and jumped onto Stelle with a playful pout.
"How dare you try to steal Ah Guang for some secret adventure while I was sleeping~ You sneaky little villain~!"
Stelle, completely unfazed, replied righteously, "It wasn't sneaky at all! I openly asked Ah Guang if he wanted to go. Besides, you're awake now, and you just heard our plan, so you're coming too, right?"
Pei Guang nodded. "Exactly. Even if you hadn't woken up, we would've waited for you. We always move as a trio!"
March 7th grinned. "Then what are we waiting for? I'm already up—let's move out!"
Pei Guang laughed. "Let's go!"
As he led the way, he did not notice that March 7th and Stelle exchanged a glance behind his back: unlike the perfect unspoken understanding Pei Guang and Stelle usually had, this particular glance between Stelle and March 7th was... a complete mess.
March 7th couldn't read what Stelle was thinking at all.
Meanwhile, Stelle's gaze was filled with an intense, mysterious wisdom, giving March 7th the feeling that this girl would probably go completely silent if Pei Guang wasn't around—only to drop earth-shattering one-liners when she did speak.
With their plan set, the three headed out for another adventure.
Meanwhile, back on the Astral Express, Pom-Pom had momentarily paused its cleaning to sigh.
"Sheesh, they just got back, and now they're running off again, pom~"
Not far away, Himeko chuckled softly at Pom-Pom's complaints.
"That's just youthful energy for you. Besides, little March has been growing more and more confident and cheerful thanks to them. As for Ah Guang… hmm~ Well, as long as she and Stelle are with him, there shouldn't be any issues."
Though she didn't join them on their adventures, Himeko always kept an eye on everyone's movements.
She could tell that everyone aboard the train was a good kid. And kids didn't just need physical care—they needed someone looking after their hearts as well.
As Pei Guang, Stelle, and March 7th stepped onto the snowfields of Belobog once more—
March 7th crossed her arms and looked around. "Wow… it really is a frozen wasteland out here~"
Pei Guang: "Wow… it really is a frozen wasteland out here~"
Stelle: "Wow… it really is a frozen wasteland out here~"
Seeing the two of them turn into echo machines, March 7th smirked. "Let me think… last time, I said—'You two are such parrots!'"
Pei Guang gave a thumbs-up. "Impressive memory!"
March 7th struck a triumphant pose. "Of course! My memory is the best in the universe! But coming back here again… the feeling is completely different~"
Pei Guang nodded. "Well, yeah. Last time, we were here to solve a problem. This time, we're here to have fun. And since we're already in a snowfield, it'd be a waste not to turn this into a survival game."
Hearing the word survival, March 7th shuddered. "S-Survival? You're not saying we have to eat… you know… that kind of stuff, right?"
Pei Guang: "What? No way! We're playing this in game mode. Think about it—we're stranded in this icy wasteland as survivors. We have to stay warm, gather food, and build our own shelter. And of course, in this world, there are powerful monsters lurking around, so we need to defend our home. Sounds fun, right?"
March 7th's eyes lit up. "Ohhh? Now that you put it that way, I'm suddenly interested!"
Stelle folded her arms, smirking smugly. "Well, of course! Our Ah Guang is unbeatable!"
Pei Guang glanced at her. "You know… it's been less than a month since I met you, and I've lost count of how many times you've jinxed me. Do you just want me to drop dead one day?"
Stelle grinned. "I'm just stating facts! Besides, if anyone really tries to hurt you, they'll have to get through me first."
Pei Guang sighed. "Yeah, no. Let's just make sure I get through the danger first—your combat experience isn't quite there yet. Anyway! Enough of that, let's get this survival game started! Oh, and let's try not to use our storage space items unless absolutely necessary. But things like the portable crafting pot? Totally fair game. We're here to have fun, not suffer."
March 7th nodded in agreement. "That's right! We're just playing—if we end up actually suffering, then what's the point? So, Ah Guang, what's our first move?"
Pei Guang: "Let's see… in survival games, Step One is always to build a shelter. So, let's gather materials and build a proper little house!"
Stelle: "Technically, we already have a place to stay on this planet."
Pei Guang: "Doesn't matter! We're building this from scratch. All we need is wood and stone—with those, we can put together a nice, cozy little cabin."
March 7th looked around. "You know… I used to think living in a place like this would be absolute misery. But somehow, when you talk about it, it actually sounds really fun."
Pei Guang chuckled. "That's the magic of survival games! Whether playing alone or in a group, they're always exciting and rewarding. That sense of satisfaction—starting from nothing and slowly building up—is what makes it so great. The only question now is… what kind of food can we even find in this frozen wasteland?"
March 7th deadpanned. "Probably food that's been frozen solid for who-knows-how-long. But… can we even eat that?"
Pei Guang confidently nodded. "Of course! You're traveling with two master chefs, remember?"
Stelle: "Exactly! You might not trust me, but you can't not trust Ah Guang's cooking skills!"
March 7th: "By 'cooking skills,' do you mean throwing in two drumsticks and getting a whole roasted chicken?"
At this point, March 7th no longer knew how to even react to Pei Guang's ridiculous cooking abilities.
