This Naruto is A Bit Too Evil

Chapter 19: Chapter 19 Hinata Wants to Change

In the early morning at the Hyuga Clan's compound, the serene environment allowed even the faintest sounds from within the compound to be heard clearly.

Whenever a Hyuga Clan's member stepped out of their room, their gaze would inevitably drift toward the clan head's residence.

"Hah! Hah! Hah!"

Thud! Thud! Thud!

The crisp, youthful shouts of a girl and the rhythmic pounding of wooden training posts echoed from the clan head's residence.

'Hinata-sama has changed.'

All the Hyuga Clan's members could sense that the aura Hinata exuded during her Gentle Fist training was different from before. The timidity of the past had diminished, replaced by a sharp, determined edge. She was beginning to embody the demeanor of the main family's young lady.

Moreover, many Hyuga clan members had already learned that Hinata had awakened her Byakugan. While the Hyuga's Byakugan wasn't like the Uchiha's Sharingan, as it only required only sufficient age and Chakra to awaken, it was still remarkable for a child under six years old to achieve this. It was a testament to Hinata's talent.

However, few knew what had truly happened the day before. What had caused such a sudden change in Hinata's personality? What had triggered the awakening of her Byakugan?

All they knew was that a guard from branch family had been punished with the Caged Bird by the clan head, which is a rare occurrence.

Inside the clan head's residence, in the spacious courtyard, wood chips scattered everywhere.

The once neatly arranged training posts now lay askew, covered in dense palm prints. The once flat and tidy lawn was now riddled with footprints from Hinata's relentless training.

And Hinata, now dressed in a loose black training outfit, wore a serious expression as she struck the training post with Chakra-infused palms.

Her Gentle Fist carried a hint of frustration, lending her strikes a sharper, more forceful edge. Her training was also a way to vent her emotions.

Even though a day had passed and she had learned that Naruto was safe, the image of his bloodied face still lingered in her mind.

This wasn't a feeling born of romantic affection, after all, Hinata was just a five-year-old child who hadn't even begun to understand such concepts.

She had developed an admiration for Naruto, and it made her resent her own weakness.

Just as Naruto had said, she had the ability to solve her own problems, but her timidity had held her back. She had thought that enduring silently would be enough, but it had only caused harm to Naruto, who had tried to help her.

She didn't want to hurt others, even if they were bad people. She had been too afraid to use her own strength, but this very weakness had allowed the bad people to grow bolder and had hurt those who tried to help her.

'If I had been braver and driven those bullies away herself, Naruto-kun wouldn't have been hurt because of my weakness.'

She wanted to change herself, to become stronger, and then tell Naruto that she was different now. She wanted to become his true friend.

"Hinata, take a break."

A gentle voice called out. Under the eaves stood a beautiful woman holding a one-year-old girl in her arms.

She had the same adorable almond-shaped eyes as Hinata, filled with the same gentleness and innocence. Her features resembled Hinata's, and she exuded the grace of a traditional Japanese woman, though her skin was unnaturally pale.

This was Hinata's mother, Hyuga Keiko.

However, Keiko's delicate brows were slightly furrowed as she watched her daughter tirelessly practicing the Gentle Fist. The baby in her arms, Hyuga Hanabi, babbled and cooed, seemingly confused as to why her sister wasn't playing with her this morning.

Hinata paused upon hearing her mother's voice and turned to smile at her mother and sister.

"It's okay, Mom. I'll just practice a little longer."

After saying this, Hinata resumed her assault on the training post.

"Ah..."

Keiko looked at her daughter with pity, feeling a twinge of resentment toward a certain blond-haired boy. But seeing the determination on Hinata's face, Keiko could only sigh and shake her head.

"Then I'll have Natsu prepare breakfast. Is there anything special you'd like, Hinata?"

Hinata's movements faltered for a moment, her face flushing with hesitation. She seemed to want to say something but was too embarrassed to voice it.

Keiko looked at her daughter expectantly.

"Mom, c-could you ask Natsu-nee to prepare thre... two extra servings of breakfast?"

Despite her resolve to change, Hinata still felt too shy and lowered her head.

Keiko smiled warmly. Though her daughter's personality had changed, she was still as adorable as ever: "I understand, Hinata. I'll have Natsu prepare three extra servings."

"T-three is too much..."

Hinata's eyes swirled in embarrassment. She felt like she was being treated as a glutton. While she could indeed eat that much, it was still too embarrassing.

Hinata wanted to explain to her mother, but Keiko had already disappeared to arrange breakfast.

In the end, Hinata had no choice but to continue her Gentle Fist training.

When Hyuga Hiashi returned home, he looked visibly exhausted.

Being abruptly awakened in the middle of the night by the Hokage's Anbu and then attending an all-night meeting was more draining than fighting enemies all night. During the meeting, he had to maintain his composure, watch his words, and ensure his stance wasn't misinterpreted.

After all, the heads of all the great clans in the village had been present, along with many civilian Jonin. The scale of the meeting was almost comparable to the one held after the Nine-Tails' attack.

Upon learning the reason for the emergency meeting, Hiashi's expression darkened. The ability to steal others' Kekkei Genkai might not concern civilian Ninjas much, but for Kekkei Genkai Clans like theirs, it was a serious threat.

Fortunately, this time, the 'target' had been Shisui. After all, the title 'Shisui of the Body Flicker' wasn't just for show… it was earned through his prowess on the battlefield.

Even back then during the war, Shisui had already possessed the strength of an Elite Jonin. Now, after so many years, his combat abilities were likely on par with a typical Kage-level Ninja.

'But even so, Uchiha Shisui still failed to defeat the opponent.'

Thinking of this, Hiashi's expression grew even more solemn. While the Hyuga's Byakugan might not be as powerful as the Sharingan, it was still a highly coveted ability.

'Had a terrifying individual like this set their sights on Konoha's Kekkei Genkai?'

'It seemed that after the Third Ninja World War, the village was indeed on a decline.'

Hiashi's heart was heavy with worry, but his face remained stern and composed. As the head of the Hyuga Clan, he couldn't afford to show weakness.

Thud! Thud! Thud!

Before Hiashi even entered his residence, he could hear the distant sound of fists striking wooden posts. His eyes widened slightly, and he quickened his pace.

When he walked into his own courtyard, he immediately saw Hinata's small figure relentlessly practicing her palm strikes. Her movements, once soft and hesitant, now carried a newfound sharpness and determination.

The Hyuga's Gentle Fist wasn't just about softness. While it might not be as overwhelmingly powerful as the Strong Fist, its precision and lethality in close combat were unmatched. Attacks had to be swift and ruthless to seize opportunities and inject Chakra into the opponent's Tenketsu.

In the past, Hinata's Gentle Fist had always been timid and indecisive. She had hesitated during sparring, even avoiding striking vital points. In Hiashi's opinion, such a soulless Gentle Fist could never lead the Hyuga Clan.

Seeing the change in Hinata, a glimmer of pride flickered in Hiashi's eyes. However, he quickly recalled the reason behind her transformation. When he had heard the news yesterday that his daughter had sent someone to the hospital, he had thought it was a false rumor. But when he learned it was because of a certain blond-haired boy, his face had turned green.

Just like it was now.

Hiashi strode into the courtyard with a stern expression. Hinata, who is still in the middle of her training, immediately noticed him and stopped.

Faced with her father's grim demeanor, the courage she had mustered earlier wavered, and she reverted to her usual timid self.

She then said in a whisper: "Father, welcome home."

Hiashi's lips twitched, a surge of frustration welling up inside him that he couldn't quite release.

"Let's go eat first."
